Cunningham Bidders’ Bill of Rights

1.     FAIR AND EFFICIENT MARKETPLACE:
Sellers are not permitted to bid at Cunningham auctions.  This means bidders are only bidding against other bidders in the market and not the seller or shill bidder.  Shill bidding is illegal in many states, but unfortunately it is not illegal in Arizona and some auction houses take full advantage of that fact permitting this tactic and creating an artificial market.  All we do at Cunningham’s is create a fair and efficient market where buyers and sellers exchange assets at the MARKET PRICE determined by THE MARKET.

2.      OUR CUSTOMERS ARE KING:
We don’t compete against our customers.  Buying and selling at our own auctions is not part of our business.  Once or twice a year we may sell one of our personal vehicles, but unlike most other auction companies in town, we do not “broker” assets for a “house” account at our auctions.  We believe that by not buying and selling our own assets at our auctions we avoid competing with our customers and we avoid the inevitable conflicts of interest and make sure that we maintain that fair and efficient marketplace that we strive for.

3.      NO RESERVE!  EVERYTHING SELLS TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER:
All auctions are no reserve unless clearly stated otherwise.  On these rare occasions that we sell something (usually only bankruptcy real estate) subject to seller approval it is after we have already pre-qualified the seller and the asset to make sure their number is low enough that we know the asset will sell for sure.

4.      AUCTIONEERS WHO LOVE AND RESPECT THE MARKETPLACE:
At our live auctions our auctioneers are not permitted to run the bid.  Running or “bumping” the bid is when the auctioneer takes a fake bid or ghost bid in order to make the ONE bidder bid again against themselves.  Again, this tactic creates an artificial market and therefore NEVER happens at Cunningham auctions.

5.      THE ONLY REAL ONLINE AUCTION IN TOWN:
We also monitor our online auction as if they were live auctions making sure that sellers are not bidding and that max bids placed by bidders are kept in the strictest confidence.  In fact, only three people at our company have access to the system where max bids are placed.  If you have ever proxy bid or placed an online max bid at our auctions you know you are treated fairly and that your bid is safe and confidential.

6.      ACCURATE DESCRIPTIONS:
We are careful to accurately describe the assets we have on the auction block.  In the rare occasions that there has been an incorrect description, we make it right.

7.      YOU CAN BID AT OUR AUCTIONS NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE:
If you do not have access to a computer to place an online bid, you can call in your bid by phone.

8.      NO CHARGE FOR PARKING
Free parking at our facility or at our neighbor’s parking lot (the Baptist Church) to the west.

9.      NO CHARGE FOR CATALOGUES
Get a free catalogue when you come to preview and use it to take notes for online bidding.

10.  CLEANEST AND MOST CONVENIENT FACILITY IN ARIZONA:
We are located just west of the I-17 north of Bethany Home Rd on 27th Ave and Maryland.  Are facility has a 33,000 square foot warehouse and a paved yard.
